What is Super Useful?

An app for Shopify stores. It puts tools that stores often add one by one into one app. You turn on each tool with a switch, and you set it up on its own page.

Which tools does it have?

• Announcements: a bar at the top of your store, with a link or a button. Five styles, your colors, your dates and your pages.
• Loyalty points: customers earn points for orders, for joining and for following you. They trade the points for discount codes.

How much does it cost?

One subscription covers all the tools. The app's page in the Shopify App Store shows the price. Shopify adds the subscription to your Shopify bill.

Does it work with my theme?

It works with Shopify themes through an app embed. You turn on the app embed once, in the theme editor. It also works on Hydrogen and other custom storefronts: the app's Headless storefronts page gives you the code.

Does it slow down my store?

The app adds one small script for all its tools. The script loads only the tools that are on. The rewards panel loads only when a shopper opens it.

Which languages does it use?

The app's pages in your Shopify admin are in English. The rewards panel shows English or French, from the language of the store page. You write the text of your announcements in your own language.

How do customers earn points?

You choose how many points each of these gives:

• paid orders, for the subtotal after discounts, without shipping and taxes;
• welcome points, when a customer joins the program;
• following you on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest or X.

Shopify cannot check a follow, so a customer gets the points once for each network.

What happens when an order is cancelled or refunded?

The app takes back the points of the order. For a refund of part of the order, it takes back part of the points. A balance can go below zero, for example when a customer spends the points and then gets a refund.

Which rewards can I give?

An amount off, a percentage off, or free shipping, with an optional minimum order. Each reward code works once, and only for the customer who got it.

Does the app use cookies on my store?

No. It uses the browser's session storage for two small things: to keep a closed announcement bar closed, and to show a customer's points balance without a new request. The browser deletes both when the shopper closes the tab.

Where is my data?

On our server in Toronto, Canada. The privacy policy says what the app keeps, and for how long.

What happens to my data when I uninstall the app?

48 hours after you uninstall the app, Shopify asks us to delete your store's data, and the app deletes all of it.

Does turning off a tool delete its data?

No. The data stays, so you can turn the tool on again. To delete the data of a tool, write to support@superuseful.io.
